Dear Alumni Community,
Reflections, Updates, and Ways to Stay Engaged
Reflecting on Our Progress and Future Initiatives
As I look back on the past several years, I am proud of the progress the Washington High School Alumni Association has achieved. By welcoming new trustees who bring a range of diverse experiences and unique talents, our board has become a dynamic group filled with creativity and renewed energy. This diversity has empowered us to push forward with our strategic plan initiatives and to continually seek innovative ways to connect with WHS alumni.
One of our primary areas of focus has been spreading awareness about the opportunity to join the WHSAA. By increasing outreach, we strive to ensure that our mission—to support current students and to honor the legacy of WHS—is sustained for years to come. These efforts are vital as we work together to build a thriving and supportive alumni community.
Enhancing Communication and Engagement
In our ongoing effort to strengthen connections within our alumni community, we have recently introduces a new position to our board: Social Media and Communications Coordinator. This role is dedicated to improving how we share news and updates with our members, ensuring our outreach is more effective and engaging.
If you follow us on Facebook, you may have already noticed our Wednesday "Shout Out" series that features outstanding WHS alumni. This initiative highlights the achievements and stories of our graduates, fostering a sense of pride and unity among our members.
Liberty Crawford '21 has taken on the responsibility of coordinating communication between our social media platforms and website. In addition to managing our online presence, Liberty will be generating original content to keep our community informed and connected. If you have a story you would like to share, please contact Liberty at .
Celebrating Our Alumni and Looking Ahead
This year presents many reasons for celebration. Our alumni consistently achieve significant accomplishments across diverse fields, and our community continues to strengthen through ongoing connections and collaborations. Whether you are reconnecting with fellow graduates, mentoring current students, or participating in association events, your engagement continually enhances our dynamic network.
We kindly ask that you renew your annual membership to maintain access to our newsletter and contribute to essential operational expenses. Additionally, we invite you to consider the WHSAA in your estate planning. As a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) organization, we greatly value all monetary gifts; every contribution is tax-deductible and directly supports our mission.
We encourage active participation—join reunions, share your experiences, and offer support to current WHS students. Your involvement, whether substantial or modest, shapes the trajectory of our association and motivates future generations of graduates. In support of these efforts, we request that you complete our survey. The survey will help us obtain information about how you would like to see class reunions move forward in the future and how WHSAA can support classes in preparing for those events. The survey is also available in the print newsletter and on our Facebook page.
Encouraging Active Participation and Feedback
We strongly encourage all alumni to take an active role in our community. By joining reunions, sharing your personal experiences, and offering support to current WHS students, you contribute significantly to the vitality and continued success of our association. Whether your participation is large or small, your involvement plays an essential role in shaping the direction of the WHS Alumni Association and serves as an inspiration for future generations of graduates.
To further these efforts, we kindly ask that you complete our survey. Your responses will provide us with valuable insights into how you envision the future of class reunions and how the WHSAA can best support each class in preparing for these meaningful events. For your convenience, the survey is also available in our print newsletter and on our Facebook page.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication. Together we remain committed to upholding the principles and traditions that distinguish our alumni tiger family.
Go Tigers!
