Longtime WHS Art teacher Eric Myers (’77) has hung up his pallet and brushes.
Much more than being a faculty member, Eric was the heart of the “Struts & Frets” Drama Club and a master of the stage electronics, sound and lighting assisting in choir, band and drama club presentations for decades. He recently updated the pictures of the “Struts & Frets Drama” club Hall of Fame located in the entrance to the WHS stage.
Often considered a part of the “Big Five” at Washington High (Football, Band, Choir, Drama Club and Speech/Debate) the alumni association is grateful to Eric for keeping the drama club as part of the conversation and keeping us entertained over three decades.
In addition to being a faculty member, Eric found time to be involved with the “Picnic in the Park” Independence Day celebrations, the Massillon Lions Club spring shows and St. Paul Lutheran Church parish councils.
